RESPONSIBLE RECRUITMENT COOPERATION
Representatives of tourism companies and organizations have conveyed the message that there is a shortage of seasonal workers in particular.
There have been hundreds of open job vacancies in the Tourism Industry in recent years, and employees has not always been found.
As the business environment internationalizes, language skills and a service attitude have become an important competence requirement. Part of the jobs don't require knowledge of Finnish to start and working is said to be the best motivation to learn Finnish.
One way to solve the problem of lack of employees is to offer work for professionals from abroad. Mood of Finland has been developing a responsible recruitment model together with Spanish partners as Universities, Vocational Schools and EURES- representatives.
WHAT MAKES RECRUITMENT PROCESS RESPONSIBLE?
Mood of Finland company´s values are Creativity, Inspiration and Responsibility. We work together with others in good mood. One of the responsible basis is equality which means equal posibilities to get empoloyed, no matter the cultural, religional or ethical background. If there are not enough local employees to work in industry, we should open the opportunities to everyone interested in to work.
When opening recruitment processes to abroad it is important to inform the applicants about the realistic working environment and conditions. All the emplooyes need to be treated equal, with respect and enough time need to be reserved for orientation.
Relocation plan must be well done and put into practice as Finland is not familiar country for Spanish people.
